Privacy Policy

Who we are

Truckies Rest Log (the iPhone app) and truckiesrestlog.com.au (this website) are operated by Opus Novum PTY LTD, Melbourne, Australia (“we”, “us”, “our”), as part of Truckies Toolbox. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

The app

What we collect

Nothing. Truckies Rest Log:

• doesn’t ask you to create an account or sign in
• doesn’t collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts or location history
• doesn’t include analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking tools, and doesn’t track you across other apps or websites.

Your records stay on your iPhone

Your work and rest entries, notes, truck details, locations or odometer readings you type in, and your settings are stored on your iPhone only. They aren’t sent to us, and we can’t see, access or recover them. If you delete the app, your records are deleted with it. If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or your computer, that backup is handled by Apple under your own settings.

Exports

When you export a PDF or CSV file, it’s created on your iPhone. Where you send it (for example, to your employer or bookkeeper) is your choice, and it’s then handled by whoever receives it.

Notifications

Break warnings and other alerts are scheduled on your iPhone. We don’t run a server that sends them, and we don’t receive any information about them.

Purchases

The app is free to download. The optional Lifetime unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details or your Apple ID. Apple tells the app whether the unlock has been purchased so it can turn on features on your iPhone. Apple’s handling of your information is covered by Apple’s own privacy policy.

App Store privacy label

Because the app collects no data, its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.

This website

• No forms or accounts. Contact is by email only.
• No analytics or tracking. We don’t use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking tools.
• No cookies for visitors. The theme sets no cookies. WordPress may set cookies only for people who log in to manage the site.
• No third-party requests. Fonts and images are served from this site.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information when you visit (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time). These logs are used to run and secure the site, and we don’t use them to identify you.

If you email us

If you email support@truckiesrestlog.com.au, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to reply and help with your request, and keep it only as long as we need to. We don’t add you to mailing lists. Our email and hosting providers may store data in Australia or overseas. Please don’t send us copies of your work records unless we ask for them to solve a problem.

Sharing and selling

We don’t sell, rent or trade personal information, and we don’t share it with advertisers. We would disclose information only if required by law.

Security

Because the app doesn’t send your records to us, there’s no central store of user data to protect. Your records are protected by your iPhone’s own security, such as your passcode and Face ID.

Access, correction and complaints

Under the APPs you can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you. In practice, the only personal information we may hold is email you’ve sent us. To make a request or complaint, email support@truckiesrestlog.com.au. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Changes to this policy

If the app or website changes how it handles information, we’ll update this policy before the change takes effect and post it here with a new effective date.
